As a senior in high school, my agent called to tell me I had an assignment to shoot the Indianapolis 500. He
didn't have to tell me twice! At the time, that was the longest road-trip I'd ever taken. Three days of shooting,
and so many stories. Indy was so different back then. This photograph is moments before the start. Johnny
Rutherford would win the race from Pole.
