About David Wiener

David Wiener is an internationally recognized designer and artist whose career and passion are deeply rooted in the automotive world. Starting as one of America's youngest professional sports photographers, David captured the exhilarating worlds of Formula One, IndyCar, the America’s Cup, and the US Open Tennis while still in high school. This early exposure to high-octane environments cultivated his artistic and design sensibilities, propelling him into automotive design and fine art.
Automotive Focus
David’s career has been defined by his contributions to the automotive industry. He has designed custom Porsches and BMWs and created a wide array of iconic vehicles, products, logos, and brands for global names such as Ferrari, Porsche, Ganassi Racing, Pirelli Porsche, 000, and many others. His work in this field is not just a profession but a manifestation of his lifelong passion for all things that move.
His highly acclaimed automotive art has been featured in exhibitions across major cities, including New York City, Paris, Tokyo, Florence, Barcelona, and Seoul. His work has been published in prestigious outlets such as Time-Life Books, Fortune Magazine, Forbes, Newsweek, Yachting, Motor Trend, Robb Report, Maxim, T3, and numerous other international journals. Combining his love of photography with his passion for high-tech automotive design, David’s limited edition art pieces, which he describes as modern abstracts, invite viewers to explore new perspectives on design, technology and performance through a unique and creative lens.

David has also begun a career in sculpture, with his first outdoor public work, GRAND PRIX. Commissioned by The Canyons Resort and the Pendry Hotel in 2022, this 20-foot-tall, stainless steel tower is the centerpiece of the resort’s outdoor walking mall.
David’s corporate commissions allow him to focus on subject matter critical to his clients while creating series of pieces that speak to their brand and history. Commissions have included Porsche, #2 Wall Street, Synergy Technology and Underwriters Laboratories (UL). David’s work is in personal and private collections, including Jean Todt, Michael Schumacher, Kimi Räikkönen, Mario Andretti, Zak Brown, Alan Parsons, and others.
David works from his studio in Park City, Utah. When not immersed in his artistic endeavors, he engages in activities that inspire his work, such as racing cars, skiing, saltwater fly-fishing, and mountain biking. He often finds inspiration in moments spent laughing and cooking meals with clients, family, and friends.
Artist’s Statement
"I’ve dedicated my life to observing and understanding the aesthetic qualities that define our world—especially within racecar and vehicle design. As a designer and artist, it is essential to engage in subconscious and conscious research, using observation to measure style, performance, quality, and desire. This lifelong pursuit of the elegant aesthetic has trained me to see intricate details and patterns in vehicles that might otherwise go unnoticed, hidden within the symphony of their surroundings. I invite others to explore the dynamic interplay of technology and artistry, uncovering the hidden beauty within each machine.

My work is driven by a passion for capturing the essence of speed, power, and beauty inherent in high-performance cars. But more than that, I want to elevate the art of the automobile, and take Formula One and motorsport into the world of modern art.
